Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ45

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ45 was released for the public today and is a digital Compact Superzoom camera that is also named the Lumix DMC-FZ40 outside of Europe this camera is a fill-in from the FZ38/35 and it features the same as the FZ100, a 25/600mm equiv superzoom lens but only a 14MP CCD sensor and a back screen of 230K dot 3.0 inch LCD screen. The Video records at AVCHD Lite 720p HD video recording, manual shooting modes and 'Sonic Speed' auto-focus system that the company says offers the industry's fastest focus times. The European FZ45 version is limited to 29 minutes video recording. Its already available with prices of around £220 pounds on Amazon.co.uk also number 2 on the Bestsellers list.

This model is well designed and feature packed as of all Panasonics are and we can look at some of these right here it 24x Optical zoom is a powerful zoom with creative options including manual operation. Panasonic have used the newly developed LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens and extended the optical zoom range from 27mm to 25mm at wide end and the zoom power from 18x to 24x making it more versatile campared to the DMC-FZ35.

The powerful 24x optical zoom can increase its zoom up to 32x equivalent with the Intelligent Zoom function taking advantage of the Intelligent Resolution technology maintaining the picture quality even using digital zoom. The Sonic Speed AF in the FZ45 features its speed at the industry's fastest level. This is then boosted by a high-speed start-up giving the FZ45 the quickest responce time to catch the photo you want.

The next feature is manual control that elevates the operability of the DMC-FZ45 even higher with a new jog dial. A new focus button that gives the user a quicker way to adjust the controls to suite the conditions of the surrounding areas. User can enjoy creative shooting expressing their intention not only in photo but also in movie, utilizing a host of options including Creative Movie mode and My Color mode.

To see what some of the features do to a camera is so facinating and i love to write about them because it gives an insight to what the camera does to get the perfect picture or running video without all that blur and out of focus problems. But manufactures are coming up with different way of combating these problems, with new cameras they are improving the issues that face us every day in photography.

Panasonic's iA (Intelligent Auto) mode — a hallmark of LUMIX cameras — includes POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) which features double the repression power compared to the conventional image stabilization system, MEGA O.I.S. The hand-shake, which is physically generated when pressing the shutter button or when shooting at night with a slow shutter speed, is effectively compensated by the new POWER O.I.S. to enjoy blur-free photography even using high-powered zoom. The iA mode is also available in movie recording mode.

It automatically selects the most suitable Scene mode and helps to correct handshake, focus and brightness problems — making the iA mode your one-stop solution to capture beautiful still and motion images.

The 3.0-inch 230.000-dot intergrated LCD screen can assure high visibility during recording and in playback whit all these things going on and the extremely high standard in performance the DMC-FZ45 has a energy efficency system that excels in battery life up to 580 shots per a single charge.

Enjoy Easy Shooting of HD Movie in AVCHD Lite with Advanced iA(Intelligent Auto) Mode
The DMC-FZ45 is capable of recording high quality HD Movie in AVCHD Lite. The AVCHD Lite features almost doubling the recording time in HD quality compared with the conventional Motion JPEG and excels in the compatibility with TV and other AV equipment. The picture quality is greatly enhanced thanks to the Intelligent Resolution technology. The DMC-FZ45 also features Dolby Digital Creator to record high quality audio.

The popular iA (Intelligent Auto) is also available in movie recording. The POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), Face Detection, and Intelligent Scene Selector also support shooting beautiful movie with ease. The Intelligent Scene Selector automatically switches between Normal, Portrait, Macro, Scenery, and Low Light modes according to the situation to optimize visual quality. The Intelligent Exposure that also optimizes the exposure to prevent over/under exposure part from occurring.

Some new cameras have made the change from video recording operation being inside the menu and being to time consuming to search out, but now cameras have a record button on the camera for that quick record function, once the button is pressed video is recording and saved to your SD memory card for storage and playback. The Panasonic Lumix DMKC-FZ45 has this special quick record button on the body of the camera. The powerful 24x optical zoom is available in movie recording, too. With the newly added Video Divide function, users can divide the video into two sections to shorten or delete the unwanted part on the spot in the camera. You can cut out a clear still image from a movie in the camera thanks to the Intelligent Resolution technology. A Wind Cut function is also available to block out most of the noise from background wind.

New camera this year have also upgraded the viewing facilities and with the latest LCD TV`S having HD ready quality viewing at 1080p Photos or movies recorded in AVCHD Lite on SD Memory Cards are easy to view on a Panasonic VIERA TV. Simply insert the card into the VIERA Image Viewer (SD Memory Card slot) on VIERA TV or DIGA Blu-ray Disc Player to playback your contents. Alternatively, you can use an optional mini HDMI cable to output the still and motion images you took from the FZ45 directly to the TV for VIERA Link.

The best camera for a price of under £300 pounds and for someone looking to buy a camera that may be better than a compact but cheaper than a DSLR some kind of Bridge camera an inbetween the two. With the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ45 being in the top 5 in the amazon.co.uk bestseller list that sell itself.
